The Guardians of the Seal are seven wise entities gathered by King Snow to seal the Lake Shrine, imprisoning Melzas. Each of the guardians hold one of the seven jewel crests that are used to unlock the seal which raises the shrine.
Lars[]
Lars is the first and most important of the Seven Guardians Alundra meets. He is the Guardian of truth and appears in Alundra's dreams to direct him to Torla. He is entombed in his crypt in the graveyard north of Inoa village and summons Alundra there, testing him and eventually giving him the Ruby Crest, the ability to use magic, and the Earth Scroll.
Vul[]
Vul is one of the Seven Guardians, he resides in the Coastal Cave. His crest was stolen by the Murgg, leaving him to only give Alundra the Water Scroll.
Jeal[]
Jeal is a metalsmith who sought to understand the mysteries of life. To stop the evil in the mortal realm, he sacrificed himself to turn into human form and vanished into time, becoming one of the Seven Guardians. He keeps the Sapphire Crest and Fire Scroll in his possession and lives in the Reptile Lair.
Uma[]
Uma is the Queen of Life and Death and resides in Magyscar. Her crest was stolen by the Murgg, leading to her servant attacking Alundra, though she does give him the Wind Scroll as apology.
Nirude[]
Nirude is the last surviving member of the Gazeck. He has come to rely on the prayer of the goblins to sustain him and remains in his lair north east of Inoa village. He is the guardian of the Topaz Crest. According to Nava, his powers were used in the service of Melzas at some point, making him a deadly enemy of Melzas.
Wilda[]
Wilda is one of the Seven Guardians. He has the form of a dragon and was once the King of Destruction. He guards the Emerald Crest and makes his home in Torla Mountain and challenges Alundra to a fight to the death to see if he is worthy to have the sixth crest.

Nava lives in a hut on the beach south of Inoa Village. He keeps himself to himself and wants his own privacy however he aids Alundra several times in his quest.
Nava is also one of the two Zolists met in the game, a race of humans with extremely long lifespans who were ordered by the Guardians to watch over Melzas and stop him if he revived. At some point though, he ascended to become a Guardian and keeps the Diamond Crest.
